Across the UK, and further afield throughout Europe if your work takes you there, a single call to Mobile24 will quickly alert the nearest dealer service point to any vehicle that may need help. Trained operators on the Mobile24 help desks will talk to the driver to try and understand the exact nature of the problem, and this information will be passed on directly to the highly trained technician getting ready to set out in his van to get the vehicle back on the road.
MAN maintains a careful check on all Mobile24 call–outs, to try and ensure service levels remain as high as is humanly possible. At the last count, calls in the UK were being responded to within just 17 minutes of the call being received at Mobile24 Control &ndash that’s just 17 minutes between the call being taken and a fully equipped Mobile24 van leaving the gates of the nearest MAN service point. Very often, that will include specific additional parts being put on board, in response to details given by the driver as to the nature of the problem.
Once on their way to the MAN vehicle in distress, every Mobile24 van has a target, set by MAN, of getting there within 60 minutes. The only exception to this is for calls from within the M25, where, despite the high standards set, even MAN has to accept that heavy traffic might cause a few more problems.
Once on site at the roadside, the Mobile24 technician will keep in touch with Mobile24 Control, giving them an update on the vehicle’s condition and estimated ‘back on the road’ times. In turn, Mobile24 Control relays this information to the vehicle’s operating base, keeping them abreast of progress.
As if all this wasn’t enough, the driver then gets one more bonus, a Mobile24 ‘Rescue Pack’ containing a snack bar, water and so on. Also in the pack is a reply–paid card, that MAN asks drivers to complete, allowing them an immediate chance to comment on the service they have received. All these cards go back to the UK centre for MAN, where each card is read, details are logged and an overall ‘satisfaction’ rating for Mobile24 is compiled. At the time of going to press, this stood at some 89% satisfaction with the Mobile24 service &ndash good, but for MAN and our customers, as far as we are concerned it is still not good enough!
